Executive Summary & Chapter 1

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Executive Summary provides a relatively concise (approx. 25 pages) overview of the entire Draft GSP.  This is a good place to see key details of the plan and see how the five chapters of the Draft GSP fit together. Read the Madera Executive Summary or Chowchilla Executive Summary.

In the Executive Summary section titles correlate to chapters in the GSA.  E.g. "ES-1 Introduction" in the Executive Summary correlates to "Chapter 1 Introduction" in the Draft GSP.

CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Chapter 1 introduces the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) and describes the Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) responsible for developing and implementing the plans.  Chowchilla GSP Chapter 1  describes that in the Chowchilla Subbasin four GSAs are working together on a single GSP.

Madera GSP Chapter 1 explains that there are 8 agencies working on four coordinated GSPs in the Madera Subbasin.  Madera County, Madera Irrigation District, City of Madera, and Madera Water District are working on one GSP that covers most of the basin (325,450 acres); the rest of the basin (22,150 acres) is covered by three other GSPs.
